The leaves are changing color, fast! The days are getting shorter, the air is getting cooler...Today is the first day of FALL!
This weather is beautiful, and I love being outside this time of year....poor kiddos have been sick all weekend though *sigh*. I love that they are enjoying school so much, but I don't like that they will likely be bringing home more sickness. I do my best to keep them fueled with healthy foods and all of their vitamins each day though....
We had a relaxing weekend nonetheless...finished up a few little projects outside, found a decent sized wasp nest built in our chimney...you know...just every day stuff like that! Dustin sprayed the nest down well, and we are still squashing them in the house....Most of them have died off already...but there are a few that are searching for their escape route through our living room, I think I've smooshed 8-10 so far today. I'm just thankful that Dustin found it the way he did, and not while climbing up the ladder to clean the chimney!
We have a busy week ahead too....the kids have their regular 3 days of school, one of them being Grandparents day! So, Nanny and Bumpa will be joining them for an hour or so on Thursday so they can show them everything they've been learning, and give them a tour of their classroom..the kids are beyond excited for Thursday to come!
The second half of the week, and next weekend will also be very busy with window installation! We are replacing ALL of the windows in our house! It's going to make a huge difference, our windows leak quite a bit right now, so we are anxious to see how much nicer there will be this coming winter since it's forecasted to be so cold!
So, I don't know if you remembered....Today begins our new series, 101 Real Food Recipes!
Did you know that there are only 101 days left in 2014? It's time to start now and finish the year out in a healthy and delicious way!
I started a new program called Body Beast a couple weeks ago, and I love it! Not only is the program great, but the nutrition guide has some delicious recipes in it as well, I've already made this 3 times...I think it's my new favorite chili recipe!
